1. No User Accounts & No Data Storage

Freight Decision Tools does not require user registration, logins, or accounts. We do not maintain a database of user calculations, shipment dimensions, cargo weights, or commercial quotation figures.

All calculations execute entirely on the client side inside your web browser using JavaScript. When you enter carton specifications or freight rates, that data stays on your local device and is not saved to our servers.

2. URL State & Link Sharing

Our calculators include an optional “Share Link” feature. When you click this button, the values currently entered into the calculator (such as carton dimensions, weights, or quote numbers) are encoded directly into the web address query string (for example, ?volume=8&weight=2000).

This occurs entirely in your browser so you can bookmark your calculation or send the URL to a colleague. Anyone with whom you share this specific URL will be able to see the parameters you entered. We do not harvest or store these shared URLs on our servers.

3. Current Advertising & Analytics Status

At the present time:

  • No Advertising Scripts Active: While the website layout contains reserved structural ad containers to ensure predictable visual spacing for future use, no advertising networks (such as Google AdSense), external ad scripts, or behavioral trackers are currently loaded or active.
  • No Web Analytics Cookies: The website does not currently deploy third-party analytics cookies or user-tracking pixels.
  • Standard Server Logs: Like virtually all web servers, standard non-identifying technical server logs (such as IP address, requesting browser user-agent, and requested page timestamp) may be automatically logged by our hosting provider for infrastructure security and routing purposes.

4. Mandatory Notice: Policy Update Requirement for Future Advertising & Analytics

Before Freight Decision Tools enables third-party advertising networks, affiliate tracking programs, or analytics cookies in the future, this Privacy Policy must and will be updated to:

  • Clearly identify the specific advertising partners and third-party technologies being utilized;
  • Detail the types of cookies or identifiers deployed for ad delivery, reporting, or analytics;
  • Provide clear mechanisms for users to manage cookie consent preferences where required by applicable local regulations.
